About Me

Welcome to my fly-fishing journey! It all began in 2003 when I picked up a fly rod from a garage sale and ventured out in t-shirts, bermuda shorts, and Nike sandals for my first summer of fly fishing. The thrill of being out in nature and the challenge of mastering this new sport hooked me instantly. Although my initial attempts were filled with tangled lines and missed casts, I was undeterred and eager to improve.

In 2004, I decided to take my passion to the next level by enrolling in a fly fishing and fly-tying course. This course provided me with invaluable education on casting techniques, proper equipment setup, and the best gear to invest in. I also delved into the art of fly tying, learning the necessary starter equipment and techniques for tying flies that would attract fish. Armed with this knowledge, my confidence grew, and I began to see improvements in my skills and success on the water. The camaraderie and shared experiences with fellow anglers added to the richness of my journey.

Today, my goal with this website is to continue my learning and share the knowledge I’ve gained with beginners who are just starting out. I’m committed to providing educational resources, tips, and mentorship to help you navigate the world of fly fishing.
